Maybelline Dream Matte mousse foundation review

ACCORDING TO ME :
PROS
  • Can apply using your finger’s but if you are like me and have a bit of blending problem then try using a sponge or brush, I was 1st using the MAC powder brush and found it fine but later on I just tried with a sponge and it looked ever better.
  • Very little is needed so it goes a long way.
  • Its a very light fluffy whipped mousse and it gives a matte finish.
  • Gives an air finished even flawless look without making you look like a Barbie doll
  • Medium coverage (it’s what I like), I feel it looks more natural that way.
  • Use it as concealer also for my eye area it does not fully do the job but it reached half way.
  • I apply it at about 8am and then remove it by 5pm, it does stay on pretty well, but I do have to bolt my skin now and then as I have an oily T zone.
  • Does not slide off.
  • Has no SPF, you all must be wondering why this is in the pro list well cos when I go for function’s, etc where there will be definite photo moments my face will not look ghost like as this foundation has no SPF. When I use it for daily purpose I just apply an SPF moisturizer and then apply foundation on top of it.
CONS
  • Not many shades available.
  • Gets transferred onto my collar.
  • Does not moisture the skin that much (so I always apply moisturizer 1st and then apply this foundation). If you are one of those people who have dry skin patches just keep an eye out on those problem area’s and moisture them more.
  • Applying too much will end up making your skin cakey, to solve this problem you will have to blend well.
  • Hygiene is a concer as one has to double dip for the product.
